Om, prostrations to Bhagavati in the manifestation of Shri (Jagadguru) Chandrashekhara, the form of Sacchidananda, for filling ourselves with Atmajnana.
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, adorning the Peetha named Shri Kamakoti, fulfiller of auspicious desires, protector of those who surrender, and of the form of the esoteric Kamakala Vidya.
(1) Note: कामाम्बका is a rare usage. अम्बक means eye, the commonly used term being अक्षन् . Hence कामाम्बका means कामाक्षी .
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, shining brilliantly with the Lotus Foot ornaments (Padukas) made of molten gold, and having the auspicious marks of Lotus. (2)
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, who sport in Vedantas of Vedas like Sama Veda, bestower of Jnana of all-pervading Parabrahman (Bhuma- all- pervading; Bhuma Vidya is covered in Chandogya Upanishad of Sama Veda), who are celebrated all over the world, and who are worshipped by the Moon and the Sun. (3)
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, who are adorned with (natural) fragrances and shining with strings of many fragrant flowers grown in the spring season. (4)
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, shining inside the beautiful Mandapa, which is the very essence of the three Vedas including Rik (Yajus and Sama) (Reference is to Gayatri Mandapa, Gayatri being the essence of Vedas), and who are worshipped by Rama. (5)
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, who possess the glory of being worshipped by sage Durvasa, who are established in the minds of those free from evil inclinations (accumulated over many births), and who ward off misfortunes. (6)
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, who possess the glory of being worshipped by the best of devotees, who confer mundane happiness as well as the taste of devotion on the multitude of their devotees. (7)
Prostrations again and again to the Lotus Feet of Kamakshi, whose neck is adorned with radiant golden necklace bearing the thousand names of Devi and whose crown is shining brilliantly and is adorned with crescent moon. (8)
Kamakshi’s Paduka has unusual glory, instils Dharma, has six Krittikas studded (confers Subrahmanya’s glory – beauty, valour, compassion and Jnana), is worshipped by Budha (the wise), has the coolness of Moon; darshan of the Paduka confers great attainments. Mother Kamakshi shines with her twin feet cleansing us of sins, bestows the auspicious Bliss of Supreme Consciousness and has taken the form of the foremost Chandrashekhara Guru.
