I salute Pārvatī and Parameśvara, mother and father of the universe
I meditate on Śrī Gajānana, the son of Uma, the lord, the giver of prosperity, victory and auspiciousness and adorable son of Parameśa, who resides in the holy banks of the river Sahyajā (Name of Kāverī).
We praise the reverential husband and wife, who are the parents of the entire universe, the wealth of penance of each of whom is the fruit in the form of the other.
O Ambike! Your name Lalitā, which assumes the absolute sweetness of the nectar, pronouncing which my tongue becomes the sweetest.
I bow here to Śrī Kumbheśvara, the original cause, who resides along with Śrī Maṅgalāmbā in the banks of the holy Kāverī, always indulges in the destruction of miseries of his devotees, resides in the banks of the lake which is holy and capable of destroying all sins and gives deliverance to the mortal beings who take delightedly a holy dip in the month of Māgha (Jan-Feb).
I bow to Śrī Maṅgalanāyakī, Paraśivā and Śrīmantrapīṭeśvarī, beloved of Kumbheśvara, who resides in the holy town of Kumbhaghoṇa, adorned with the smile like jasmine, giver of all wishes, endowed with great qualities, possesses beautiful face like the full moon and a charming neck decorated with the garland of the flowers of Mandāra.
Salutations to Guru
My salutation to the tiny particle of the sand that falls from the holy feet of Lord Śaṅkara who dwells in the name and glory of guru.
I salute the gurus of Kāmakoṭī, the followers of the lord Candracūḍa-Mahādeva-Candraśekhara, who dwell auspiciously in this abode.

Your arrival in Kubheśvarapurī is indeed propitiatory and auspicious for us. Our respects with devotion and dedication to the holy feet of the Ācārya. Welcome to you, the illustrious! The lord of ascetics Śrī Vijayendra! Today we are purified by your glimpse!
We are so fortunate that without considering the manifold hurdles, you have come from north to south to see the great meritorious sacrificial rite of the consecration ceremony of this temple which is in holy place of Kumbhaghoṇa that is situated near the beautiful banks of the river Sahyajā in the holy presence of Ādikumbheśvara!
From the time immemorial, Śrī Kāňcī Kāmakoṭī Pīṭham has been engaged, according to the precepts of vedic scriptures, in the programmes like daily worship and other annual functions of this temple of Śiva for the wellbeing of the people. A hall for the idol of Lord Somāskanda has been constructed in this temple with great effort and devotion by the greatest Jagadgurus of Śrī Kāňcī Kāmakoṭī Pīṭha.
The attainment of your glimpse on this auspicious occasion of the ceremony of consecration is our great fortune. We are graced indeed.
Let there prevail abundant prosperity through good rain and progress of righteousness and good fortune for all.
