Shri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Go Vignyana Pranganam – Inauguration of Princess Irene Godhamam, Golconda Khurd, Hyderabad (1-Mar-2026)

Anugraha Bhashanam of Acharya Swamiji – (via Video Conference)

Today with the blessings of Gurus, in the context of Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji’s Aradhana Utsavam, Swamiji’s most desired subject of Go Samrakshana, is being commenced as a special service initiative by citizens of Hyderabad. This is a matter of immense happiness. Pujya Jayendra Saraswathi Swami made great efforts and through the then Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, established a Go-Samrakshanam Ayog. Shri Murali Manohar Joshi the then Minister was sent by Shri Vajpayee to Kanchi in this regard and a committee for Go-Samrakshana was established by Government of India.

Pujya Shri Chandrashekharendra Saraswathi Maha Swamiji gave his divine blessings to Princess Irene and she was instrumental in approaching the European Economic Council and further arranged a special Air Plane to save & bring 100 cows to India. She herself accompanied the cows on the plane from Europe to India. This was because our Kanchi Mahaswami had conveyed directions, concern and blessings that cows anywhere in the world should be saved. This direction of Swamiji was carried out by Princess Irene of Greece who had his blessings.

Likewise, she had taken a coconut sapling blessed by Mahaswamiji to an island where Nelson Mandela stayed for more than 20 years. She also met Archbishop Tutu and had discussions about World Harmony (Vishwa Shanthi ) which is very much required today too in this world. She established an organisation ‘World in Harmony’ and worked for realising the cause. She preferred not to marry and every year would visit India to commemorate the birthday of Prof TMP Mahadevan. Once Kanchi Mahaswami asked the Professor to tell his name in the reverse – Mahadevan – Navedaham (न वेद अहम्). TMP Mahadevan was professor of philosophy and Mahaswamiji had given his blessings to him. Princess Irene was his student.

Mahaswamiji’s directions to save cows anywhere in the world!, this dictum being followed by a person of Greek origin!, and her name being commemorated in Hyderabad today!! What other better example of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam do we need than the programme being held today? विद्वान सर्वत्र पूज्यते – Respecting Good irrespective of their origin is Bharatiya Samskruti & Sanatana Samskruti. This programme is a classic example.

This programme, being conducted by you all on this auspicious Kamakshi Ambal Brahmotsavam coinciding with Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji’s Aradhana is indeed an Utsavam for Dharma. In Golconda Fort they say that if we clap our hands in ground floor, that would be heard very clearly even in the upper floors. The clap of Greece and the Nada of Kanchi is resonating in Hyderabad today. In this very good programme you all are involved. Recently Bhadruka College in Hyderabad has commenced Temple Management programme. It has to expand in other cities too. In the same way a special syllabus needs to be prepared for Go-Vignyanam which will stress on Go-Samrakshana. This Go-Vignyana Pranganam needs to take up this activity too and create exemplary centres of Go-Samrakshana. This course would streamline the efforts of various Go-Shalas and concentrate on Science, Sanskriti & Samajam which will foster scientific temper, protect culture and uplift the society. May this activity of Go Samrakshana which is Loka Samrakshana prosper and grow without any disturbances.

Prema – Pure Love, Apyayata- Nourishment & Balam-Strength is the message we get from cows. May the blessings of cows which are embodiment of Kamadhenu grace one & all and this Kendra grow further in other places too.

Hará Hará Shankara Jaya Jaya Shankara
